A union is a business with a major source of revenue: the dues, fees, special assessments and fines they charge their members.
Paying union dues or fees is typically an unavoidable fact. The SEIU-UHW will want to get its cut of your paycheck and is free to do what it wants with those funds without your approval.
Here are some facts about SEIU-UHW dues and fees:
- Union dues are typically 2% of gross monthly pay
- Union dues can range from $36 per month up to $214
- There is a one-time initiation fee of $100

Per the SEIU-UHW Constitution and Bylaws, dues are two percent (2%) of a member’s regular earning, up to a maximum of forty (40) hours paid per week at the straight time rate, including regular straight time hours, paid time off and longevity pay included in base pay.
